Holiday Cheer!

Tis’ the season for holiday parties and cheer! We were so excited to work with Jan and Dennis for the Porsche Club of America Chicago Region annual holiday party this year.

Since Jan has a white Porsche we worked with a white, gold and silver color palette with lots of candles and pops of wintery fresh greenery at the Hyatt Lodge at McDonalds Campus.

We added lots of silver, gold and white ornaments throughout the tables, including in the floral arrangements and white filled lanterns.

We have a few more holiday projects coming up and that will be a wrap for this year!

Here’s to festive season ahead everyone!

Dimitra’s Darling Pumpkin Patch Baptism Celebration

Welcome to Dimitra’s Darling Pumpkin Patch Baptism Celebration!

We hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend and if you find yourself in the Chicagoland area, we hope you are surviving the first snow storm of the season. As we pack up the pumpkins and all things fall, before the Christmas season is fully upon us, we wanted to share with you images from Dimitra’s Darling Pumpkin Patch Baptism celebration from a few weeks ago.

The whole event was made up of a beautiful burgundy, green and pink color palette with lots of gold accents and pumpkins everywhere! Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead!

Johnathan’s Jazzy Baptism Celebration

We can’t believe April is coming to an end and May is just around the corner!  We don’t know where the time went since we did this event at the beginning of the new year!  We couldn’t be happier to have worked with Yianno’s mom, Anna, again for this elegant and simple party at the new space The Oaks at Gibsons Steakhouse in Oak Brook.  The new space is beautiful and perfect for your next event if you are looking for a great venue in the suburbs of Chicago with delicious food and a wonderful team!

We went with a pretty grey and white color palette with pops of blue candy for little Johnathan’s celebration.  We used different textured florals including succulents and silver brunia balls amongst all the white hydrangeas and roses.  All the silver textured vessels added to the overall design along with the silver bichon linens.  The early evening intimate celebration was perfect with lots of candle light of course.

We wish baby Yianno and his family congratulations on his special day!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Alexa’s Adorable Garden Baptism Celebration

Alexa’s Adorable Garden infused Baptism celebration took place in February.  You would have never thought that in Chicago we would have had such a beautiful, sunny and warm day but we did! The event took place in probably one of our most favorite restaurants in the Chicagoland area, Plateia Mediterranean Kitchen and Bar, not only because of the delicious food but the decor and ambiance at this place is so welcoming and so true to a traditional, yet modern, Greek restaurant found in Greece!

Elaine, Alexa’s mom, gave us one direction and that was to incorporate green into the decor and invitations.  We have to be honest here, sometime our best ideas come from something as simple and straightforward as that.  So, we kept the custom invitations and the Baptismal candles in a simple and elegant design of green and white.  The invitations had a hand embossed A placed over bright green ribbon in a shimmery grey enclosure.  The Baptismal candles were wrapped in white fabric with texture and adorned with little white daisies and a large dahlia.

The green and shimmer grey color palette was carried over to the welcome “table” tree favors and place cards.  We hung the place cards, along with Jordan almonds, on the olive tree found at Plateia using the same color green ribbon found on the invitations. Guests were able to walk around the tree to find their place card easily and in a non-traditional table setting.

For the event we knew we wanted to incorporate hanging pieces since the tables are so narrow. Usually when working in a restaurant, the design has to stay very linear and narrow, so hanging above gives us more of an impact.  Our statement piece in the room was found over the head table.  We hung branches over the head table and filled them with fresh eucalyptus and hung fresh floral and candles from the branches.  This piece is something we have wanted to put together for a while and we were so excited to create this for baby Alexa’s special day!

For the long family style tables found a few steps above the main room, we hung woven baskets with fresh floral and candles. The continuous look of vases and ceramic pots down the tables were filled with white, orange, yellow and green florals.  The colors were so cheerful and worked perfectly in the neutral color space.

If you follow us along on Instagram and here and Facebook  you know that Peter and I baptized baby Alexandra.  Elaine is my cousin and we couldn’t be more excited and happy to add another layer to our relationship.  Elaine and Peter, thank you for asking us to be part of Alexa’s life in such a special way! We love you guys!  We wish Alexa congratulations on her special day!

Pretty Pink Princess, Georgia’s Baptism Celebration

Pretty Pink Princess party details include sparkly crowns, hanging floral wreaths and lots of crystals!  We loved worked with baby Georgia’s mom and grandmother to create this princess inspired event! We worked with a pink and silver color palette and kicked off the event with custom invitations with silver glittery crowns.  The glittery crowns were then found throughout the table numbers and even the thank you cards.

The place card design included the pretty princess crown favors we made with hanging Jordan almonds, pink ribbons and sparkly beads.  Guests found their names hanging on silver trees or branches in the foyer. From there, a beautiful fabric canopy draped over the entrance.

We worked with six looks throughout the room to create a whimsical and magical evening with lots of candlelight.  From the hanging crystal chandeliers and silver crowns to the lush green and floral wreaths, we did not spare any detail.  We used a variety of pink and white florals to make full arrangements.  The crystals were of course a must and found throughout the design.

The head table was made up of different high and low arrangements with silver crowns and the fun silver balloons made for the perfect backdrop.  We couldn’t help but create a fun photo moment with crowns and wands for all guests to enjoy!

It is always a pleasure working with clients that allow us the freedom to create what we dream of.  We couldn’t be happier to have designed this for such a wonderful family.  Wishing Peter, Stacey and baby Georgia congratulations on her special day!  We love you guys!

Which look is your favorite?
