Last year we had the pleasure of working with Megan, who lives in San Diego, to put together her and Mark’s Wedding. Not only was she the sweetest but her event design details were the prettiest! The wedding took place at City View Loft and we had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful vendors. The view of Chicago from City View Loft is absolutely stunning and we love how all the bright lights in the big city were the perfect backdrop from all the windows.
The color palette was soft, with blush bridesmaid’s dresses, we used fresh lavender for the bouquets and Megan’s bouquet was a medley of soft pinks and touches of greens. Megan looked absolutely gorgeous in her lace gown and the beading detail was just perfection. The service took place in the downstairs area where we created a beautiful neutral backdrop with hanging twinkling lights provided by YJ Decorating. We used purple limonium florals in galvanized buckets down the aisle as well as candle pillars in glass cylinders.
Guests found their seats with a cute mason jar mug with their names attached. Not only a perfect favor but useful too;) When the guests moved upstairs it was a non-stop party celebration until the end. The bar had two signature drinks, for any Blackhawk fans out there, The Hossa, an Autumn Manhattan, and The Toewsor, a Cranberry Mule, you can appreciate these.
The tables were farm style tables so we worked with a continuous design with pops of teal and mercury mason jars throughout and all the pretty florals that worked with this lovely palette. We used lace runners to complete the looks and every place setting had a purple limonium flower on it. Lots of candles added to the soft glow once the evening sky took over.
The DJ, Toast and Jam, rocked out all night in front of another backdrop of twinkling lights and guests not only ate under a string of bistro style lights but danced the night away under them. The photo booth area was a fun touch with entertaining props that made for great photos and memories of course!
We can’t forget the delicious donut bar by Do-Rite Donuts We used different glass cake stands to display all the deliciousness and Megan and Mark even fed each other a donut instead of traditional cake, we love when couples have their own style!!
For a late night snack, a small hot dog stand, Hubby’s Dog House was set up and guests could make themselves a Chicago style hot dog to enjoy and re-energize.
These photos are just a glimpse at all the pretty that made up October 2, 2015 and we wish Megan and Mark a wonderful 1st Wedding Anniversary!! We wish you a lifetime of even more laughter, happiness and love! Thank you for working with us!!
PS. We can’t wait to see photos of your beautiful growing family!!
