A Very Floral Fête, Aria’s Baptism Celebration

A Very Floral Fête is very fitting for this floral infused Baptism celebration for adorable baby Aria in Michigan, with shabby chic details, lots of pretty pink mini garden roses and different green textures!  We first ventured off to Michigan to do an event with fresh floral two years ago to put together Zoi’s Picture Pomegranate Perfect Baptism Celebration, and this time we decided to not only bring some fresh floral but to also bring some wonderful large fresh branches to give the room some height!

By now, you figured out how much we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE details so we kicked off the custom boxed invitations with a burlap wrapping and a delicate white paper flower with a pearl center.  The little floral detail was carried over to the place cards, table numbers and glassware vessels. The pearl necklaces were added for a touch of girly shabby chic feel and of course all the different milk glass vases and mercury holders added to the whole overall eclectic feel.

The pretty pink linens and the white chiavari chairs transformed the room to a wonderful garden setting.  Since we used boxed invitations, we ended up using more boxes to create risers on the tables and the little wooden numbers were just the perfect touch.  The floral coordinated with the room perfectly and all the candles created a soft glow as the evening progressed.

The long head table was of course center of attention with two large tall floral and branch pieces in silver mercury vases with a continuation of floral arrangements in different shabby chic pieces, including two tiered vintage like cake stands. The fresh wooden pieces were found throughout the room that even the smallest votives had a piece to go with it!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with our good friends, Maria and Adoni, for all three of their children’s Baptisms and we have to say they not only make adorable babies but they are the sweetest, most kind little ones anyone can ask for!  With big sister Tiffany and big brother Sam, we know Aria is one lucky girl to have such wonderful siblings. Maria and Adoni, thank you for trusting us with our moving caravan of props, ideas and work.  Our friendship means the world to us and your support is greatly appreciated!

We wish everyone a very happy weekend and check back next week for more pretty parties!

Sophia’s Sophisticated Soiree, Baptism Celebration

Baby Sophia’s Sophisticated Soiree was one sweet and elegant event with lace, pearls and feather details.  We had the pleasure of working with Sophia’s Mom, Stacy, for her older sister’s Katerina’s Bright Butterfly Garden Baptism,  a few years back and we were delighted to put this event together for this wonderful family!

This event included a lot of wonderful pieces that Stacy had already purchased and we wanted to play off the beautiful rich tones of the linens, chargers and the colors found in the ballroom at Georgio’s.  We used the palest of pink mini garden roses and creamy roses with a touch of dusty miller and lots of fresh gold eucalyptus.

The head table and the welcome table had the fluttery table linen that we love and we made sure that the pieces on the head table were placed on gold candle holders to make it a little bit different from all the round tables found throughout the room.  The pearl backings on the four chairs at the head table were the sweetest touch and played off the pearl details perfectly.

The cylinders found throughout the room either had pearls submerged in water with floating candles or pearly details placed on the outside of the glass. There was a lot of pretty soft candlelight throughout the room found from the floating candles or in the gold mercury glass holders.

The dessert table had Sophia’s name in the center and small clusters of gold vases filled with small fresh arrangements and pearl details.  The coordinating Well Wishes vase was decorated with lace wrapped letters, pearls and a large ostrich feather plume.

Wishing baby Sophia and her family congratulations on her special day!  Stacy, it was a pleasure working with you!

Curious George goes to a Baptism Celebration

It’s Friday and what a week we’ve had!  We were featured on Kara’s Party Ideas, take a look if you missed it, http://karaspartyideas.com/2016/01/snow-white-inspired-baptism-celebration.html and Be Inspired posted one of our favorite all white head table designs on their IG page:) We appreciate all the likes and shares!!  So with all these pretty girly events posted lately, it was definitely time to give the boys some love!

This little monkey has done it all! He has been to the movies, visited the toy store, played with puppies, helped firefighters, planned a birthday party and all along found some mischief. Curiosity is his game and we all know and love him as Curious George!  When Marisa called us to work with her again for her second son’s Baptism we were thrilled! Her little handsome fellow was going to be Baptised as George and she thought a Curious George theme would be fun for all to enjoy!

We kicked off the event with a table filled with little custom favor boxes with tiny funny monkeys on top. We used books as risers and clusters of fresh red Gerbera Daisies to set the stage.

We decided to create table designs around the adventures featured in the books! From hanging hula hoops, custom large kites, real gold fish, fresh pop corn, sand and clusters of balloons, each table had something fun and different featured on it (or above).

Since the books are brightly colored, we went with vibrant primary colors and made sure the moment you walked in the room the colors stood out with teal table linens, yellow napkins and red/yellow/white florals.

We invite you to explore the photos and see if you can remember reading the book featured on the table! Congratulations to baby George and his family! May you never stop being curious;)

Ooh La La! Stavroula’s Paris Inspired Baptism

Ooh la la! We have Paris on our mind!! Working with Baby Stavroula’s Mom, Angie, was such a treat!  Not only was she super sweet and funny but the whole design process was so enjoyable with so many wonderful details!  We used a light pink and grey color palette, feathers and pearl details and of course pretty pink hat boxes!

The welcome table kicked off with a small Eiffel Tower adorned with pearls, fresh macaroons and hat boxes used not only for risers but also to hold the fresh floral arrangements which were full of full hydrangeas, baby garden roses, beautiful two-tone roses, pink berries and draping greenery.

From there we picked beautiful grey shimmer table linens with pink napkins which worked perfectly in the room with the silver chiavari chairs.  Some of the tables had tall crystal vases with large white ostrich feathers, a pale pink fresh orchid wrapped around the vase coming out of the fresh floral arrangement inside the hat boxes.  We added custom details to each hat box, ribbons, feathers and pearl details to make sure these little hat boxes created special moments on each table.  The other tables had a white vase with white ostrich feathers, hanging crystals and silver Eiffel Towers that Angie had purchased.  The floral arrangements were again nestled in pink hat boxes and hanging pearls were placed over the table number frames.  The last look in the room was the hanging pearl chandeliers to add great height and another level to the design.

The head table had a large Eiffel Tower in the center with fresh floral around it with pink ostrich feathers.  The continuous look of the hat boxes and candles is, of course, our favorite design style and we loved every piece on that table.

The beautiful dessert display by Empress Banquets behind the head table also added another great design element with baby Stavroula’s name front and centered.  To the right of the dessert table we created a small photo area with the props Angie had purchased.  A small cafe table with two chairs for guests to enjoy during the event.

We just want to say congratulations to baby Stavroula and her family.  It was so lovely meeting the whole family! We appreciate the wonderful clients that we get to meet along this amazing journey of design.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
