A Very Floral Fête, Aria’s Baptism Celebration

A Very Floral Fête is very fitting for this floral infused Baptism celebration for adorable baby Aria in Michigan, with shabby chic details, lots of pretty pink mini garden roses and different green textures!  We first ventured off to Michigan to do an event with fresh floral two years ago to put together Zoi’s Picture Pomegranate Perfect Baptism Celebration, and this time we decided to not only bring some fresh floral but to also bring some wonderful large fresh branches to give the room some height!

By now, you figured out how much we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE details so we kicked off the custom boxed invitations with a burlap wrapping and a delicate white paper flower with a pearl center.  The little floral detail was carried over to the place cards, table numbers and glassware vessels. The pearl necklaces were added for a touch of girly shabby chic feel and of course all the different milk glass vases and mercury holders added to the whole overall eclectic feel.

The pretty pink linens and the white chiavari chairs transformed the room to a wonderful garden setting.  Since we used boxed invitations, we ended up using more boxes to create risers on the tables and the little wooden numbers were just the perfect touch.  The floral coordinated with the room perfectly and all the candles created a soft glow as the evening progressed.

The long head table was of course center of attention with two large tall floral and branch pieces in silver mercury vases with a continuation of floral arrangements in different shabby chic pieces, including two tiered vintage like cake stands. The fresh wooden pieces were found throughout the room that even the smallest votives had a piece to go with it!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with our good friends, Maria and Adoni, for all three of their children’s Baptisms and we have to say they not only make adorable babies but they are the sweetest, most kind little ones anyone can ask for!  With big sister Tiffany and big brother Sam, we know Aria is one lucky girl to have such wonderful siblings. Maria and Adoni, thank you for trusting us with our moving caravan of props, ideas and work.  Our friendship means the world to us and your support is greatly appreciated!

We wish everyone a very happy weekend and check back next week for more pretty parties!

Lemon Yellow, George’s Baptism Celebration

Lemons in the event design? Yes, please!! This Lemon Yellow event was put together for baby George’s Baptism Celebration and we can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had using all the natural elements like tall fresh branches, pretty yellow and white floral arrangements, and lots and lots of lemons provided by George’s wonderful Mom, Michelle.  We’ve had the pleasure of working with Michelle before, Engagement Party and Bridal Shower, and we were beyond honored to design and work on this event for her adorable and sweet baby boy!!

We kicked off the event with bright yellow custom invitations with a layer of blue and a natural looking wood backing.  For the envelope liners we went with a lemon print and of course coordinated the table number frames to match. The welcome table was made up a beautiful tall arrangement with lots of different green textures and pops of yellow.  The place cards were shaped like a lemon leaf and attached to a fresh lemon making it for a fun and unexpected entrance piece.

The tall pieces throughout the room added great height, while the long rectangular tables had a very linear design with tall white lanterns, adorned with blue and yellow ribbons, cylinders filled with lemons and lots and lots of candles going down the center of the table. The cutest little kids table was made up of adorable tiny chairs and simple floral pieces in the center.

The head table was made up of fresh greenery, hanging candles and beautiful yellow garden roses.  Our signature look of smaller, continuous pieces down the center of the table were made up of floral arrangements, lemon filled glass cylinders and candles, of course, making it for a full table design while not obstructing the view of the guests.

The celebration also included a gorgeous cake by The Baking Institute, we absolutely love their designs and their natural & delicious ingredients, for George’s lovely Grandmother!  How sweet is that?? Happy Birthday Vaso xoxoxo!

We wish baby George and his family congratulations on his special day!! We love you guys! Here’s to the wonderful ‘heat wave’ we are having here in Chicago:)

Lil’ Elegant Elephant, Giorgios’ Baptism Celebration

Sometimes it doesn’t get any cuter than a small white little elephant at each table, don’t you think? Baby Giorgios’ Baptism celebration was one elegant and playful design with beautiful blue hydrangeas, lots of candle light and our favorite, hanging fresh greenery wreaths with touches of elephants throughout.

The event kicked off with the favors doubling up as place cards.  Each place card was adorned with a cute little blue elephant cutout.  We used fresh greenery around a tall fixture to add some height and of course some blue hanging ribbons to coordinate with the ribbon details inside the room.

The head table, in true fashion, one of our most favorite design concepts, is to have a continuous look down the center of the table.  We used lots of candle pillars to add a pretty glow. Behind the head table, we added a large white netting around the cake table to add some height to the dessert table, we had first used this design concept in one of our most favorite baby shower.

The room was made up of four different looks. One look included a pretty white lantern with ribbon detail and blue hydrangeas at the bottom.  We used white and silver planters to hold the fresh hydrangeas.  We LOVE hanging details and the fresh greenery wreaths were a great way to keep with the fresh and simple design but add some height throughout the room.

Not only did we just love how the room turned out but we loved working with Nancy on her son’s baptism.  Nancy, it was truly a pleasure and we wish little Giorgios congratulations on his special day!

Everyone, have a great weekend!

Maria’s Magical Holiday Baptism Celebration

We are definitely in the holiday mood around here!  The Christmas decor has been put up and we can’t wait to celebrate all the festivities with our families and friends.  This pretty festive Baptism celebration was created for the cutest lil’ Maria!  The custom invitations kicked off the festivities with a dark blush card stock placed over cream and gold backing with cross like images on the back.  The fun graphics were bold and made for a nice contrast to the elegant invitations.

The ceremonial candles were created with lace details, a large crochet snowflake with a crystal center and lots of pretty hanging ribbons.  The pink & gold leaves and cream berries found on the smaller candles added the perfect little holiday touch.

The overall design color palette was different shades of pink and gold with lots of holiday touches like metallic ornaments, silver crystal branches and gold and silver pinecones. The small garden roses and full size roses found in different mercury glass holders were adorned with gold berries and fresh eucalyptus.

The place card table was replaced by a tall evergreen tree.  The hanging favors of silver snowflakes with hanging Jordan almonds were found around the tree with place cards attached.  The snowflake favors coordinated with the custom snowflake witness pins.  Behind the tree a winter scene was created with birch pole branches, snow and curly white branches.

The room was set up with different food stations so small, low tables were used for guests to sit and enjoy a quick bite.  For these tables, we filled glass cylinders with different color and shaped ornaments and used votive candles to add a nice glow around the metallic ornaments.

The other tables were larger tables so we created fuller looks.  A tall mercury vase held sparkly, icy like branches and had the ornaments hanging and large candle pillars on gold pedestals were placed around them with the clusters of roses.  The last look of the room had a combination of three cylinders filled with crystal berry branches, ornaments and silver and gold pinecones amongst the clusters of roses and candle pillars.  The pink and cream linens played off the gold chiavari chairs perfectly and the prettiest pink and floral cake finished off the dessert table.

Wishing Maria and her family congratulations on her special day and our very own Peggy a lifetime of love and support for her new Goddaughter!  We love you guys!!
